Welcome Parents back to top

UMKC Career Services views parents as very important partners in empowering students to learn the skills necessary to be successful in the professional world. As a partner, the CSC recognizes that parents can be very helpful in each stage of their students’ career development and encourages parents to talk with their student(s) about the career-related resources available to them at UMKC. We have included resources in this section of the Web site that will provide resources on how you may provide constructive support during your students’ career exploration/development process.

If you would like to receive a newsletter sent out at the beginning of each semester please sign up here!

Deciding Students Learning Community: New for Fall 2008
A majority of college students change their major at least once during college. With that in mind, the offices of Residential Life and Career Services have partnered to create a Living Learning Community (LLC) for students who want to actively explore major and career options.

Students who have not yet decided on a major will enroll in a 3 credit hour course that will guide their decision making process as well as engage them in programs and activities outside of class to enhance their academic career at UMKC.
